The very organized day of biking I stumbled into in Chicago. They block off the streets and let people bike down one avenue. I guess it's supposed to encourage biking or raise biking awareness or something like that.

Greg runs a bike shop in St. Charles, Minnesota. Thanks to him I was able to make it to Rochester without having to walk all the way in. He threw in a tube for free and found a barrel adjuster for my gear shifter, a part I'd tried to find unsuccesfully

We arrive in Rochester to find that Eddie's mom, Melanie Kasner, had made us a huge plate of secret-recipe bars with a message for us. That's Tony in the background. We had a feast at the Kasner's and left the next day.
