Border Crossing #2: Vietnam - Laos, on Hwy 8. Up in the mountains, Vietnam was cloudy and cold, while on the Lao side it was clear, sunny, and warm. Different forrest policies were also clear - very young and small trees on the Vietnam side, with plenty of huge old-growth trees on the Lao side. Absolutely beautiful in Lao!
