Nepal, Pokhara - With our friendly guesthouse staff. This was probably the best value in guesthouses we've found in Asia: 3 beds with private bath for (US$3.33)200NepalRupees total after bargaining (of course). In China and India, US$1 a person usually got us quite lowly quarters. We'd recommend Hotel Avocado to anyone! Unfortunately Pokhara (Lake Side) food was more expensive than even Kathmandu, being the tourist trap that it is.
