India, Rajistan, Jaipur - 15 Ruppees (US$0.45), all you can eat Rice Dal - aka Rice, Lentals, Veg curry. Sure, sometimes to get this deal we had to sit outside by the street, and yes, the quality of the food was low. BUT, this was by far the best food value we have seen the whole trip. We saw this deal throughout India and Nepal, but especially here in Jaipur and in West Bengal. We were eating our fills for 45 cents in India when the global food crisis story was big, and we just found it so difficult to comprehend that food prices had risen when we were eating the cheapest yet! Jim and Drew grew tired of Rice Dal, but Peter didn't. He would have it twice a day every day, thanks to Chinese university cafeterias, he is used to alot of mediocre and similar food.
